Terms of Use

Sumire is a test, not a launched product. It is built and run by one person. It is free, no payment is taken, and no card details are collected. It may break, change, or stop entirely without notice. Please treat it as an experiment you are helping with, because that is what it is.

1. Who these terms are with

Sumire is an early-stage personal project run by Luis Osorio, an individual based in France. It is not a registered company. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that person.

By creating an account or sending messages to Sumire, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Sumire.

2. What Sumire does

Sumire receives updates you send over WhatsApp about your work, and uses AI to organise them into a record of your skills, stories and impact, which you can review in a web app.

That is the whole of it. Sumire is a tool for organising your own account of your own work.

3. What Sumire does not do

Sumire does not guarantee any career outcome. It will not get you a promotion, a raise, a job, a better performance review, or any other result. Whether you are promoted or paid more depends on your employer, your manager, your organisation's budget, and many other things entirely outside our control and outside Sumire's reach.

Anything Sumire generates, including stories, summaries, ratings and suggestions, is produced by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong. It is a draft for you to check and edit, never a finished statement of fact. You are responsible for what you choose to say about yourself to your employer or anyone else.

Sumire does not provide legal, financial, employment or career advice.

4. Your account and your conduct

You must be 18 or over to use Sumire. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up, and to keep access to your account secure.

You agree not to:

  • Use Sumire for anything unlawful.
  • Impersonate anyone else, or sign up with someone else's phone number.
  • Try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Upload malicious code, or use automated scripts against the service.

5. What you send us

You keep ownership of everything you send. You are simply giving us permission to process it so that Sumire can do its job, as described in the Privacy Notice.

Please do not send confidential or commercially sensitive information, or anything covered by an agreement with your employer, such as an NDA. You are responsible for what you choose to send, and for making sure you are allowed to send it.

6. Provided as is

Sumire is provided as it is, with no warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors. We do not promise the output will be accurate or useful. It is an early test and it may fail in ways we have not anticipated.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Sumire. This includes, without limitation, any loss of a job, promotion, raise, or opportunity; any decision you or anyone else makes based on Sumire's output; any loss of data; and any indirect or consequential loss.

Sumire is free. No money changes hands. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

8. Ending it

You can stop using Sumire at any time, and ask us to delete your data, by emailing hello@trysumire.com.

We may suspend or end your access at any time, including if you break these terms, or simply if the test ends. Because this is a test, it will end. When it does, we will tell you, and we will delete your data as set out in the Privacy Notice.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we change anything that matters, we will tell you over WhatsApp or email before it takes effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection you have under the law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms go to a real person, and that person built this: hello@trysumire.com.
