Sumire is a test, not a launched product. It is being built by one person, and it is not being sold. If you are shown a price at any point, no payment is taken and no card details are collected. You are trying something early, and you should know that before you share anything.

Who we are

Sumire is an early-stage personal project. It is not a registered company. The person responsible for your data (the data controller, in legal terms) is Luis Osorio, based in France.

You can reach us at hello@trysumire.com. Every request goes to a real person, and that person is the one who built this.

What we collect and why

When you sign up, we collect your name, email, WhatsApp number, and professional information: your role, company, industry, and career goals.

Once you are active, we process the updates you send over WhatsApp. These may be text messages or voice notes. Voice notes are transcribed and processed as text. We do not store the original audio.

We use this for one purpose: to build your career profile and generate your insights, reflections and power stories. Nothing else.

Your updates are read by an AI model

This is the part worth being clear about. The content of what you send, including what you say about your work, your colleagues and your employer, is sent to Google's Gemini AI models to extract skills, stories and patterns. That is how Sumire works. There is no version of it that does not do this.

Please do not send confidential or commercially sensitive information, or anything covered by an agreement with your employer. Sumire is for your own record of your own work.

Our legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you tick the box at sign-up. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will delete everything. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we lawfully did before you withdrew it.

Who handles your data, and where

We use a small number of services to run Sumire:

  • Google AI processing (Gemini) and data storage
  • Meta WhatsApp message and voice note delivery
  • Make Automated workflow processing between services
  • Netlify App hosting

These providers are based in the United States, so your data is transferred outside the EU. We rely on the standard safeguards those providers have in place for such transfers. None of them sell or share your data. Neither do we.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active.

Because this is a test, it will end. When it does, we delete the data of everyone who took part within 30 days, unless you tell us you want to keep your account. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, at any time, we will do it within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. You can also ask for a copy of it, object to how we process it, or ask us to restrict our use of it. Email hello@trysumire.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have these rights under GDPR. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In France, that is the CNIL.

Changes

If we ever change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we will tell you over WhatsApp or email before it happens.
